I had an eye opening experience practicing gratitude while writing my acknowledgment page for my first book, The Butterfly Silhouette.

I wrote that book during a period when I wasn’t feeling grateful. Not a bit.

I was grieving and heartbroken… and I felt very alone.

Frankly, I wanted to be alone.

Which is the beauty of grief… you GET to live in whatever hole you want!

Anyway, that book took a long time to write while in the hole.

As I surfaced, I wrote the acknowledgement page of the book. This is where you thank everyone who helped you.

This was a gratitude flow!

As I wrote about how grateful I was for my sons, my mother, my therapist, my friends, etc. I felt so loved by this world.

My energy lifted. (plus, I was ready for it to lift…)
