How to Raise Your Vibration: 9 Ways to Invite the Good Vibes In
Have you ever felt like you’re just not in tune with the world around you?
Your personal vibration influences how you perceive and interact with the world.
The problem many face is feeling stuck in a low vibrational state, often marked by negativity, anxiety, and a general sense of blah!
As a coach who has navigated these waters, and author of The Thought Store, I offer insights and practical steps to help shift your energy.
Most likely, you’re looking for ways to improve your mood, mindset, and overall well-being.
In this article, you’ll not only enhance your personal energy, but also positively impact your interactions and experiences in day to day life.
How to raise your vibration: 9 ways
This subject is near and dear to my heart because I like it when I feel happy, good, warm, loved, and like I belong.
However, it’s important to allow painful emotions too, because that’s how we heal our lives.
Let’s look at how to have positive vibes in your life, and how to raise your vibration frequency.
1. Practice high-Vibe thinkingā¢
I coined the term high-vibe thinking⢠to describe thinking that respects you emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.
High-vibe thinking⢠helps you lower stress and enjoy your life because positive thoughts have a higher frequency.
The quality of your thinking is critical because what you think about, you bring about.
2. What you eat has an energetic vibration
Food has vibrational energy!
You can use Applied Kinesiology to muscle test the energetic frequency of different foods.
Choose a high-vibration diet of fresh fruits, vegetables, and whole foods. Avoid processed food and limit alcohol. Both are low energy.
Good nutrition significantly impacts your physical and emotional well-being, there’s no doubt about it.
It’s been found that local and organic fruits are higher vibration because of their freshness.
High vibe food makes you feel better, while processed foods and foods high in sugar have stagnant energy or low energy.
What food has the highest vibration?
Chopra.com says, “Everything on Earth has a vibration because it is made up of energy. However, when we say high vibrational foods, we mean āfoods that are closest to their natural form and carry the energy of the Earth and the Sun,ā explains Serena Poon, a celebrity chef, certified nutritionist, and Reiki Master.
Poon recommends these high-vibration foods in the winter: Apples, beets, oregano, oranges, sweet potatoes, collard greens, lemons, mint, and sprouts.

3. Be out in nature
There are many advantages of spending time in nature.
Hiking, walking, gardening, and being on water, can help you feel more grounded and connected to the world around you.
It’s easier to connect with your higher self when you’re in natural spaces and it’s healthy to be our in fresh air.
4. Surround yourself with positive people
Surround yourself with good people with a positive, honest, open world view.
As you spend time with people who uplift and support you, you lose patience with people who drain your energy.
If you leave an interaction drained, that’s a head’s up that the energy field of the person you were just with has a vibrational frequency that’s lower than yours.
5. Choose to be in higher vibration places
Places have a vibrational energy.
For example, in The Power of Intention, Dr. Wayne Dyer writes that churches, museums, universities, etc. generally have a high vibration, and high vibe music like classical music has positive vibrations as well.
Conversely, some forms of music are lower frequency and transmit a low vibration: music that’s violent, misogynistic, or intolerant of groups of people is low energy and low vibration.
Places are vibing when there’s positive energy there that feels warm, comfortable, and loving.

6. Raise the vibration of your personal space
If everything has an energetic vibration, and it does, bring objects, furniture, pictures, plants, and colors that feel lighter and have a high vibration.
Furniture that suits your aesthetic, or feel cozy, or makes you comfortable and helps you relax will be a higher vibration.
Pictures that make you smile of people you love, memories you cherish, scenery that’s soothing and will raise your vibration are a great idea.
7. Gratitude will always raise your vibration
Gratitude is higher vibration.
So, practice gratitude to shift negative energy and a negative mindset.
I recommend practicing an attitude of gratitude, so that being grateful is a mindset you carry even life isn’t going your way.
A gratitude journal is another way that people focus on what they’re grateful for and to express gratitude.
8. Grow in self love
Love is one of the highest vibration emotions.
And it follows that loving others begins with self-love.
Here are journal prompts for self-love to help you on your self-love journey.
In addition, here are 20 self-love questions to ask yourself to get a feel for your level of self-love.
One of the biggest thieves of self-love is when we doubt ourselves.
There’s a plan for your life, and you don’t want to have self-doubt about that. As you grow in self-love, you’ll see yourself clearly, including how to best use your life.

9. Get plenty of quality sleep
If only right?
You already know that sleep makes you feel better!
So, give yourself permission to make getting enough sleep a priority in your life.
The Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommends for sleep: “Be consistent, make sure your bedroom is dark, remove all electronic devices from the bedroom (yes, that’s challenging but very important…), avoid large meals and caffeine before bedtime, and regular exercise.”
Sleepfoundation.org makes valuable suggestions for how to handle all electronics before bedtime.
Laws of energy
According to the US Energy Information Association, “Energy is neither created nor destroyed. When people use energy, it doesn’t disappear. Energy changes from one form of energy into another form of energy.”
Why does this matter to you?
To underline the idea that energy fields are always changing…
Including yours!
Map of Consciousness
David R. Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D. created a Map of Consciousness to give a framework to the energy levels of different levels of human consciousness ranging from very low energies of shame and guilt to the highest vibration of enlightenment.

Process of Entrainment by David Hawkins M.D., Ph.D.
Mother Teresa is quoted on the back cover of Power vs. Force: The Hidden Determinants of Human Behavior by David R. Hawkins, M.D., Ph.D., “A beautiful gift of writing… [You] spread joy, love and compassion through what you write. The fruit of these three is peace, as you know…”
In Power vs. Force, on page 262, Dr. Hawkins writes about the process of entrainment…
“It is a common experience for as yet unenlightened devotees to enter such a sublime state when in the presence of teachers whose energy fields calibrate at 550 and over – this happens through the process of “entrainment,” which is the dominance of a powerful attractor field.“
Entrainment is the dominance of a powerful attractor field.
Furthermore, MIT validates that the dominant attractor field determines the vibration frequency. When you place yourself in a lower energy field, you absorb the low vibrational energy level of that field.
What is applied kinesiology?
Applied Kinesiology is using muscle testing to determine the energy level of objects, ideas, situations, etc.
Dr. Andrew Weil defines Applied Kinesiology as…
“Applied kinesiology is a safe and non-invasive wellness therapy that uses muscle assessment as a tool for evaluating neurological function.”
While Applied Kinesiology is considered a new-age medical approach, it’s used by Chiropractors, Medical Doctors, Dentists, and Osteopaths.
What does raising your vibration feel like?
It feels like it sounds… up, light, and happiness.
As you raise your vibration you feel strong, at ease, a sense of belonging, the positive emotions.
Think of a time you’ve felt invincible like you could change the world! Times like these are very high vibration.
And on the other end of the spectrum, raising your vibration might feel calm, warm, and light.
Positive energy lifts you up
Positive energy refers to the energy that lifts your mood and you feel warm, comforted, and empowered.
In physics, it refers to energy that has a high vibrational frequency.
Positive energy is everyday language used to describe a person whose attitude and vibe feel happy, enthusiastic, deep joy, and cheerful, and you enjoy being around them.
You can think of these people as high-vibe!
Oxford dictionary defines quantum physics as “the branch of physics concerned with quantum theory.”
Quantum theory “explains the nature and behavior of matter and energy on the atomic and subatomic level.”

What is negative energy?
Negative energy describes feelings or emotions that are considered low vibration.
In my book, The Thought Store, I call negative thoughts low-vibes because the thoughts create low energy. When you think them you feel drained and unhappy.
You may feel tired, angry, afraid… it’s energy that zaps your life force!
What is vibrational energy?
Vibrational energy refers to the energy frequency of an object or a system.
According to Healthline, “You are a living energy field. Your body is composed of energy-producing particles, each of which is in constant motion. So, like everything and everyone else in the universe, you are vibrating and creating energy.”
What is life force energy?
Life force energy is a concept that is often associated with various spiritual, holistic, and alternative healing practices.
Your life force is the energy you feel pulsing through your body each day.
When you feel diminished, worthless, or depressed, it feels like your life force is leaving your body.
It’s a horrible feeling.
A life force is present within human beings and is thought to be responsible for our vitality and overall well-being.
Final thoughts
Albert Einstein said, “Everything is energy and that’s all there is to it. Match the frequency of the reality that you want and you cannot help but get that reality. It can be no other way. This is not philosophy, this is physics!”
Raising your vibration is often associated with improving your overall well-being and attracting positive energy into everyday life.
While raising your vibration is considered new age and metaphysical, there are general practices you can consider to enhance your mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
