sending positive energy

Sending Positive Energy to Those You Love

As you go through your day, you’re sending positive energy or negative energy out into the world. Because human beings are walking, talking balls of energy.

Einstein’s famous quote backs this up, “Everything is energy and that’s all there is to it. Match the frequency of the reality you want and you cannot help but get that reality. It can be no other way. This is not philosophy. This is physics.”

Ok, but how do we send positive energy to those we love? Or, to people who need it?

How to Send Good Energy.

If someone you love is in a challenging time, you want to send them the energy that will support them.

Since their energy is low as they’re going through a tough time, you want to send good energy to them whenever you can.

Here are 6 ways to support someone you care about…. energetically!

1. Listen to them.

As we sit quietly and listen to someone, without an agenda, and without interjecting our opinion, what a gift we’re giving them.

Don’t you love it when you’re venting, talking, or crying… and someone is just present with you? They don’t tell you what to do. They don’t judge your process, they just listen.

This is a form of sending positive energy because we’re holding the space for them.

2. Do a meditation that sends out good energy.

In your morning meditation, you can hold someone you love at the center of your attention and send them love, light, happiness, peace… all of the comforting emotions.

A meditation I do each day for my sons is:

I bless STATE THEIR NAME with pure love and light.

I bless STATE THEIR NAME with pure source energy.

Obviously, you can change the wording to fit your beliefs, but words are powerful.

And thoughts are powerful.

Intention is powerful.

As you use all three: words, thoughts, and intention and direct it toward someone you love, you are sending energy to them.

3. Send them love.

Although this sounds cliche, it’s not.

Love is one of the highest vibration emotions that exist, so if you meditate on feeling love, really feeling it, now send that energy to someone you love, it will certainly arrive there.

We are all energy and energy travels fast, so trust in the universe to deliver your good energy.

4. Send healing energy.

Send healing energy by sending thoughts that are optimistic, hopeful, and empowering. You can say these thoughts to yourself so that you don’t freak anyone out. Or, if the other person is open to this kind of thinking, say it aloud. For example,

I believe in the body’s ability to heal.

You are healing your life.

The body is designed to heal.

You are breathing in healthy, happy energy and sending it to all of the cells in your body.

And if the person doesn’t heal for a long time, or ever, at least know you showed up for healing.

5. Raise your own energy and hang out with them.

Since we’re all energy, when you’re in close proximity to another, your energy affects them, positive or negative.

So, be responsible and bring positive energy by raising your energy first.

Once you’ve raised your energy, stay with them. Talk with them.

Smile at them and let your awesome energy flow into theirs!

6. Send them something with high vibration energy.

You can also send energy in the form of books, a kind letter, a comforting, happy picture and say: I’m thinking of you. You don’t need to ask for a response…. just send it!

In the Power of Intention, Wayne Dyer says that all objects have an energy frequency, so send anything with good energy that will continue to give a steady flow of goodness to someone you love.

Flowers, anything beautiful, pictures, high-vibration music, food, and books, are all examples of things you can send to help them.

What to do when you feel like *$%*.

What do you do when you want to bring supportive energy, but you feel like crap?

This is a challenge.

Because when someone is fake or forcing positivity, it feels that way.

You feel fake as you’re doing it and the other person probably senses it on some level.

send positive energy

Faking positivity.

This can get tricky. And here’s why…

Let’s say you’re in a bad mood. You’re upset, tired, or overwhelmed. And you hide it because you don’t want to be a downer.

So you fake your energy.

We’ve all faked being happy right?

The problem with this is that when we fake it, it’s a bummer. Plus, it goes against being soulful when we pretend to feel something we don’t.

Certainly, sometimes we fake it to make it in life to give ourselves the lift we need for a job interview, a presentation at work, or an important meeting.

Or, to spare someone’s feelings and protect them.

And changing your state, as Tony Robbins wisely suggests, is effective and boosts confidence, but there’s a difference between tools to give yourself a boost and faking who you are and how you feel as a general strategy in life!

So, what do you do when you want to be positive and supportive, but feel like crap?

Model self-love, self-care, and self-honesty.

Instead, model self-love, self-care, and self-honesty.

First, feel what is real for you as a general guideline.

Then, to shift your energy to be more positive, choose self-love, self-care, and self-honesty.

So feel what is honest and true. However, do not dive into the pool of negative thinking.

There is nothing negative about feeling your emotions. Nothing.

However, negative thinking makes matters worse. For example…

This always happens to me.

I’ll never get over this.

I’m such a screw-up.

The people I want to love me don’t love me.

I don’t deserve love.

My life is going down the toilet.

These negative thoughts are examples of how your thinking can make negative energy much, much worse.

So, instead of faking positivity, feel your emotions fully and choose thoughts that love and support you and others.

It feels connecting and wonderful when someone says: Ya know, I’m upset about such and such and I’m overwhelmed. I’m going to give myself time later today to rest and take care of myself.

That energy feels great right? This is modeling self-love, self-care, and self-honesty.

Positive or negative energy.

Negative energy is a drain… that’s a no-brainer. So we need to leave any negative energy outside a room when we’re visiting someone who’s struggling. To do this, be aware of the energy you bring into a room.

Because negative vibes are like pollution.

In my book The Thought Store, people in this futuristic town are dying from negative thinking! The idea was that the negative energy from negative thinking was so heavy that people solidified into statues!

Einstein would have gotten the idea…

Being around open, supportive people feels great.

Think about it for a moment. When you are around someone with positive energy, do you feel uplifted with positive vibes? You probably do.

It’s why we go to motivational speakers or concerts or any kind of environment where people feel excited, energized, and happy.

Or dial that down to one on one with another person. Wouldn’t we rather be with someone who has positive energy than negative energy?

Because while misery loves company, it’s not the most helpful to be stuck in that rut for too long.

Good energy helps the planet… as long as we’re being true to ourselves. We can’t fake positive energy for too long, so we have to work on creating it, for real.
